Dingmantics: Ruination Vacation

I had a great idea (I think)!  Since The Moth has a new theme every damn week for their stories, I would like to begin using these as writing prompts for this segment every week.  This week, said theme is “vacation,” and as such, today I wrote about an unfortunate vacation-related incident in which I simultaneously ignited the collapse of my relationship and my personal finances.
