“The floor is too hard.”

The actual words of a co-worker in a meeting I just attended on the subject of employee office grievances.  

To him I would say:

Sir.

The floor…HAS TO BE HARD.

Otherwise, it is not, in fact, a floor, but rather something else altogether, occupying the liminal space between a floor and a swimming pool.
