The Road 2 Shambala: Exit 24-Dark Horses

Featuring trucks of strategic lovemaking, the rare and powerful Y-bomb, Wiz Khalifa being placed on notice, and Jesse Andrews of The Young Dads.

It was a real thrill for me to have Jesse on the show; if you’ve never seen he and Micah Shapiro performing as The Young Dads, you oughts to on the realquick.  About a year ago, I went to the Gotham Comedy Club to see a friend’s improv show, and TYD were performing as well.  It’s an amazing bit: they wear sort of mid-level corporate attire, complete with pens behind their ears, and sing these hilarious songs about the frustrations of office life, existential crises, Satan, and more.  It’s always really thrilling when you unexpectedly stumble on a group that’s doing work you wish you had the creativity to do yourself, and I’ve wanted to get them on The Road ever since.  Hope you enjoy the episode, and after you see Audience of Two’s new sketch show this Saturday night at the PIT, you should trek out to Brooklyn to catch TYD at Bar 4—in this way your Saturday shall achieve maximum possible hilarity.
